The system attracted many visitors from around the world. [1]

EMR MODULE

The company HCS designed an ONC (The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology -CCHIT (Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology Certified EMR. [1] Interactant extended functionality and benefits further above basic EMR–including computerized physician order entry (CPOE), online medication administration records, and pharmacy. These benefits included:

  • Better coordination of care across disciplines
  • Verification of medications and dosages for accurate dispensing
  • Automatic alerts for potentially dangerous drug interactions
  • Real-time web and mobile access to medical information for authorized staff[2]

The other four modules Revenue Cycle, Financial, Mobile, Insight. These five modules impart comprehensive, end-to-end support for the operational and clinical aspects of an organization’s health care management.

  1. Revenue Cycle for automation of revenue management, including billing and reimbursements
  2. Financial module for automating accounting, HR, payroll, inventory and facilities maintenance
  3. EMR (Electronic Medical Records) for improving documentation accuracy and efficiency
  4. A Mobile module which enable web-based access to INTERACTANT from devices such as laptops and tablets
  5. Insight, a comprehensive reporting and analysis module to support decision-making [3]

Besides INTERACTANT, HCS provides Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTCH provider community) a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that automates LTCH CARE Data Set and submission. This is essential as it addresses the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Reporting mandate, which requires long term care hospitals to provide quality data related to patient care. Falling short to keep up with this requirement will result in a 2% reimbursement reduction.[3]

Build on Proven Hardware

The company HCS Interactant utilized industry-leading hardware and middleware from IBM. IBM Power Servers were designed for data and offer businesses the ultimate in resiliency, availability, security, and performance. The reliability of the architecture was unsurpassed due to the high level of integration of the operating system and middleware. Using IBM WebSphere Application Server Express, Apache HTTP Server, and DB2 middleware, Interactant functionality is seamlessly accessed via browser. HCS was an IBM Advanced Business Partner. Membership in this program signifies that IBM has evaluated Interactant Software, financial stability, and client base and decided that HCS is an outstanding provider of software solutions for healthcare providers. The IBM Advanced Business Partnership is a national marketing agreement that combines the talents of two industry leaders, IBM and HCS, to present the best possible solutions to their customers.
