An Identification Card is a form of identification typically issued by a hospital or place of work. These cards also act to give users access to certain facilities and at times certain devices in the establishment. Technology has also advanced so identification cards can either function through bar codes, card strips, or security chips.

These identification cards add extra security to a facility and also allow easy access to authorized personnel.[1]
