Cristina Hernandez, BSN, RN Research and Outcomes Nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital, in Houston, Texas. Received my BSN at the University of Texas at El Paso. After twelve years as a clinical nurse, in acute, chronic, and perioperative departments, I transitioned to the Outcomes & Impact Services department at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2013. I work with the Plastic Surgery Division to collect data for research and quality assurance purposes to improve patient outcomes. I consent patients participating the Quality of Life study and help coordinate special projects like Camp Keep Smiling and the Cleft Lip & Palate Parent’s Group.
