ARAMIS - Arthritis, Rheumatism and Aging Medical Information System

Stanford University School of Medicine developed this information system in 1975-76 and is funded by AHRQ (then the National Center for Health Services Research), the ARAMIS database includes around 17,000 patients with arthritis as well as older adults without arthritis. These patients are followed for life, and researchers are continuing to conduct studies on their diseases, care practices, medical and surgical treatments, and costs.
