MHealth consumer apps: the case for user-centered design

mHealth applications or "apps" presents an opportunity to improve healthcare delivery and clinical outcomes. The ability to monitor patients remotely will enable patient risk-factor management and improve treatment compliance which will facilitate early detection of medical complications and ultimately preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.[1]
