(Work in progress- DSpencer) Creating a formal, written "request for proposal" (RFP) can be a tedious part of the EHR system selection process. Advantages include clarification of expected goals of the medical practice from the computer system implementation, price competition among responding vendors, and reduction of future miscommunication between purchaser and vendor.
