Fard:

A great contribution. I'm wondering if there are some additional examples you can point to of where SMS, blogs or other new communications channels are being used to improve patient provider relationships and interactions.

Maybe you can create a section at the bottom for links to such examples or related organizations.

Two developments that come to mind are CIGNA's new new Physician webVisits pilot.

Another might be The Danish National eHealth Portal, one of the world’s most advanced national health systems. It integrates electronic patient records, e-prescriptions, lab results and many more features, such as electronic appointment scheduling. Don't know if they have wireless or SMS features yet.

Finally, its somewhat rudimentary, by my PHR system at IBM, provided by WebMD, enables me to fax or email my health record, either online or from my Blackberry.

I think this document should use wikicode for numbering the references.

  1. This is how to code a numbered list in wikitext
  2. Number two
  • Bulleted list
  • Next bullet
