I am a current internal medicine physician working with Brown university in Rhode Island. These days, I work on the teaching service with residents as well as the non teaching service on the wards. I am the Clinical Informatics Liaison for my hospital as well, and currently am working with our CDI department to improve our workflow. We mainly use EPIC as our EMR.

My background is varied - I did my undergraduate at McGill, Montreal in software engineering and physiology. I loved programming and building software but ultimately went with Medicine as a career. I went to Ireland for medical school and did my residency at Case Western in Cleveland, OH. I missed working with technology, programming, and I felt there was such huge potential in the marriage of medicine with informatics that I started working with the Clinical Informatics department in Cleveland. This eventually led me here! I find myself at a very interesting crossroads of the two fields and I really believe that the future of medicine will be defined by informatics in many ways.
