NueMD is a suite of products created by Nuesoft Technologies, Inc. The practice management software, NueMD PM, is utilized by physician practices, university health centers, and medical billing companies while NueMD EHR, is the [Electronic Health Record|EHR] software suite used for functions like Chart management, e-Prescribing, and e-Labs. The system is noted for including Health Level 7 integration for Electronic health record/electronic medical record systems,and other medical documents. [1]

History
Founding
Nuesoft Technologies was founded as Persoft Technologies, INC. in 1993 by Massoud Alibakhash at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). In 1996 the company changed its name to Nuesoft Technologies, Inc [2]. The product's success can be attributed in part to the fact that it was the first platform independent medical software program (e.g.,PC or Mac, Linux or Windows, etc).
Today
In 2002 Nuesoft produced the first wholly Internet-based medical practice management system in the form of NueMD. [3] Today, the product is utilized by over 7,000 providers and has specialized systems for almost 100 specialties. NueMD is ONC-ATCB Certified and HIPAA-compliant.
