Privacy: The right of an individual to keep information about herself or himself from other Privacy: Protection of an individual identifiable health information from unauthorized users, but balanced to permit disclosure for patient care, public health and public security.
Ability and right of an individual to decide who has access to their information and to determine the circumstances under which the information can, or should be released.
