I am originally from Venezuela, but have been living in the United States since 2003. My undergrad background is in Biology, and I recently graduated with my Masters of Public Health from the UT School of Public Health. I am currently living in Austin, and I am working for the Department of State Health and Human Services in the area of HIV/STD/TB Surveillance. It was through my current position that I became interested in Health Informatics, since in my job I handle health data and work with the respective data systems every day. I look forward to learning more about this discipline, and interacting with my classmates and professors!
