It has some ideas in it.  I think one of the main things to remember is that you have to convince the clinicians that you are implementing CPOE for clinical reasons (i.e., improved quality, safety, efficiency) rather than information technology reasons (i.e., want to buy new computers and put in a wireless network).  Good luck.

Have you read the paper by Ash et al. Ash JS, Stavri PZ, Dykstra R, Fournier L. Implementing computerized physician order entry: the importance of special people. Int J Med Inform. 2003 Mar;69(2-3):235-50.

It has some ideas in it. I think one of the main things to remember is that you have to convince the clinicians that you are implementing CPOE for clinical reasons (i.e., improved quality, safety, efficiency) rather than information technology reasons (i.e., want to buy new computers and put in a wireless network).
